Jessica Priddy is an award winning professional photographer based in Westport, County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. Originally from London, she has settled in Ireland after living in County Mayo for the last ten years, and enjoys applying her skills as a photographer to record the natural beauty of the local landscape, and to capture the character of the local people in her portraits.
Jessica grew up in the photography business and was trained by her late father, Robert Glover, a successful wedding and portrait photographer and also the Chairman of the Qualifications & Admissions Board of the British Institute of Professional Photography.
As a young girl Jessica initially helped in the studio and dark room of her father's photography business, and later assisted him with location shoots at weddings and the day to day running of the studio. Now that Jessica is a full time professional photographer herself she feels that this early introduction and insight of the photography business has proved invaluable.
From her experience modeling for her fathers photography master-classes, Jessica has gained a unique perspective as a photographer, and an empathy for the subjects of her own portraits.
As a professional female photographer she feels she is naturally sympathetic to romance and beauty. Her modern and imaginative style demonstrates classical posing and good composition at it's core, with a sharp eye for the little details, a fleeting glance or a shared smile.
